DESCRIPTION
SILVERSHIELD 210 is a unique polymer formulation designed to seal and release from the toughest of molds. SILVERSHIELD 210 is completely VOC-free and has none of the problems associated with solvent based release systems. On plaster, SILVERSHIELD 210 releases after only three coats. SILVERSHIELD 210 also functions as a stand-alone sealer for many different tooling resins including polyester, epoxy, and vinyl ester. After two coats of SILVERSHIELD 210, Watershield may be used as the release agent to provide the user with multiple pull capability.

SILVERSHIELD 210 USES
overcomes micro-porosity in mold surfaces
eliminates the break-in time for new molds and/or tools
extends the number of releases of a releasing agent
reduces mold/tool down time
restores a uniform surface when used over a mold repair or patch
APPLYING TO PLASTER
After plaster has dried thoroughly, soak a clean cotton cloth or paper towel with SILVERSHIELD 210.
Liberally apply SILVERSHIELD 210 to the surface of the mold.
Allow to stand at least 5 minutes. NO wipe off is necessary at any time.
Repeat steps 1-3 for the second and third coat of SILVERSHILED 210
Allow to stand at least 30 minutes. Heat will accelerate curing.
You are now ready to mold.
AS A SEALER FOR GLOSSY PARTS
Soak a clean cotton cloth or paper towel with SILVERSHIELD 210.
Liberally apply SILVERSHIELD 210 to the surface of the mold.
Allow to stand for 2 minutes.
Gradually wipe off to impart a glossy finish to the mold.
Wait 5 minutes.
Repeat steps 1-5 for the second coat.
Allow to stand as least 30 minutes.
You are now ready to apply the water-based release agent.
AS A SEALER FOR OTHER PARTS:
SILVERSHIELD 210 is easily applied by wiping with a clean cloth or paper towel. It can be applied by brushing with a soft,fine-bristled brush. Spraying is not recommended.
Application should be made to a small area and then repeated until entire surface is completely coated.
Apply a thin coat of SILVERSHIELD 210.
Air dry for 10-15 minutes.
Apply 2nd thin coat of SILVERSHIELD 210. Leave wet.
Air dry for 90 minutes before applying RELEASE AGENT.
HEAT: A heat gun can be used to speed drying time of the 2nd coat or mold/tool can be placed in an oven for a minimum of 15 minutes at 140°C.
NOTE: Do not attempt to apply SILVERSHIELD 210 over any release agent. Keep tightly closed when not in use.
