D2+2 is a double-faced cloth tape for holding down honeycomb core during machining. Spraying shop solvents through the honeycomb cells prior to using tape, provides release without contamination.
Additional applications include securing release films and breather/bleeder fabrics in place during bagging operations, securing carpet in aircraft interior panels during installation, etc.
